Umpiring Youth Baseball & Softball
Each year we need umpires to ump our minor, major, and pony level baseball games as well as our 10U, 12U, and 14U level softball games. Umpires are paid for each game they ump.
Baseball:
Umpires are required to be 12 years of age by April 30th and are only eligible to umpire games that are at least one division lower than their age level based on CFYB league age eligibility requirements.
For example, a Major player can only umpire Minor league games. A Pony player can umpire both Major and Minor league games.
Pony games must be umpired by a High Schooler or an adult.
Softball:
10U - Must be at the 12U softball level or above to be eligible to ump.
12U - The plate umpire must be at least 16 years old and the field ump is recommended to be at least 14 years old.
14U - The plate umpire should be an adult (at least 18 years old).
